Tip No. 9: Bring snacks
Going to a convention doesn’t leave many options when it comes to food. You’re usually at the mercy of the venue on what to eat. But that doesn’t mean you can’t bring snacks with you – this is especially important for people with food sensitivities.
Having said that, McCormick Place actually has a robust selection of food items, ranging from trendy-ish places to McDonald’s.
But you don’t want to run to the food court every time you are hungry or need a drink of water. Pack snacks and water with you to keep you moving along on your schedule. This is also good if you’re waiting in line.
However, if you do know what you are going to be waiting in line or sitting down for a panel for quite some time, head to the bathroom first. We don’t have any great tips for that, especially if you’re sipping on your water all day.
Snacks are also important because you need to stay hydrated and have energy for the long days. There are many people who wind up feeling dizzy or get an upset stomach because they weren’t taking care of themselves over the course of their time at the show.
Don’t be that person.
Have snacks, bring water, and know where the bathrooms are. It will make for a much more seamless Celebration-going experience.
