Star Wars: Episode IX to have the longest runtime yet?

Looks like the Skywalker saga will be going out with a bang. Star Wars: Episode IX is expected to have the longest runtime of them all.

We’re still waiting on the all-important trailer and episode title, fingers crossed we will hear about them very soon. In the meantime, we have some new tidbits to share with you, one of them being how Star Wars: Episode IX could have the longest runtime of them all.

This comes via the latest Making Star Wars Podcast.

More from Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker

In the podcast, they discussed many different topics, not just Star Wars: Episode IX. The majority of the podcast was dedicated to the final installment of the Skywalker saga, but the vast majority was Episode IX related.

They reported how the script has the longest page count out of any of the previous scripts before it. Suggesting Episode IX will have the longest runtime of them all.

It’s not a guarantee, the page count could be the longest because every other character is called ‘Hekis Durumm Perdo Kolokk Baldikarr Thun’ or ‘Paodok’Draba’Takat Sap’De’Rekti Nik’Linke’Ti’ Ki’Vef’Nik’NeSevef’Li’Kek’ (also known as Pao). The assumption, however, is the longest page count is because the story itself is so long, therefore the movie will have the longest runtime yet.

Something I hope is the case. It is, after all, the end of an era with Episode IX, so give us as much as you can. Let’s finish what started the best franchise ever created with a bang.

Next. Trilogy by Benioff and Weiss to be set in the Old Republic. dark

What do you think? Does the longest page count mean it will be the longest runtime ever? Or do you think it might mean something else? Drop a comment just below sharing your thoughts.
