Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are reportedly prepared for Star Wars fan backlash. Should we be worried about what they have planned?
There are plenty of rumors going around about what David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have planned for Star Wars once there time on Game of Thrones has come to an end. One of them being a rumor about how their movies will focus on the Old Republic era. Whatever it is the two have planned, they are expecting some backlash from fans.
In a report via Entertainment Weekly, both David Benioff and D.B. Weiss stated how they are expecting the backlash. Something they have grown accustomed to while working on Game of Thrones.

This revelation from the two makes me wonder, why are they expecting some backlash from fans? Should we be worried about what they have planned for us in the future?

Basically, are they expecting backlash because they plan to really shake things up? Do they already know what they have planned is not going to sit well with the some of the fandom? Or are they just prepared based on reactions to the current Rian Johnson trilogy?
Only time will tell.
With Star Wars Celebration just around the corner, we may get some new information about the up and coming movies by the Game of Thrones showrunners. If that happens, we will get a better idea if they are prepared for the backlash because what they have planned is not going to sit well with the fandom or because they are prepared for the sake of being prepared.
