Do you remember when LucasFilm announced Star Wars: The Clone Wars was coming back while at San Diego Comic-Con? Fans laughed, they cried and hugged each other when the teaser and the news that the show was coming back for one more season.

The Clone Wars and Rebels became as important to some Star Wars fans as the movies. With the animated series – like The Clone Wars – they followed characters for years on new adventures and digging deeper into what made Anakin Skywalker turn to the dark side. The Clone Wars added context around the prequel trilogy we didn’t get before.

But The Clone Wars became part of the Star Wars lore in its own right with great new characters such as Ahsoka Tano and bringing lovable favorites back such as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The quick tease we got for The Clone Wars at San Diego Comic-Con held us over, but now we are ready for more.

We get that at Star Wars Celebration on Sunday with a panel teasing the seventh season of the fan-favorite show.

While there has been speculation as to what this season will bring, there has been nothing concrete. If you thought there wasn’t much about Episode IX or The Mandalorian, there has been even less about The Clone Wars.

The next season will air on Disney+ and perhaps we’ll get to find out a bit about the story line.
