12. Padmé Amidala – Montana
Montana is a very popular state for tourists due to its beautiful scenery, national parks, and mountain regions. Many rivers split the mountainous regions and there are thousands of rivers and creeks within Montana. Padmé Amidala would have found peace living in a state like Montana.
Padmé Amidala was from the planet Naboo which is where she was elected queen for her brave leadership. After she received assistance from the Jedi Order, she effectively liberated her homeworld. She then joined the Senate which made her a target. Even though she planted the seed that would later go on to become the Rebel Alliance, her personal relationships would prove to be her downfall.
Padmé was a frequent visitor of Varykino, an island located in a Naboo lake. After an assassination attempt on Padmé, she took refuge at the lake retreat. Jedi Anakin Skywalker was also sent to the lake to protect the Padmé. The two fell in love and returned to the lake to secretly marry. After Padmé became pregnant, she intended to raise them in the peaceful lake retreat. She unfortunately never got the chance since she died after childbirth from a broken heart caused after Anakin turned to the dark side.
