2. Figrin D’an – Louisiana
Louisiana has a deep cultural history when it comes to music within the United States. New Orleans, in particular, is the birthplace of jazz music, which remains as one of the most popular types of music within the state to this day. Figrin D’an and his band would have been honored to play in Louisiana’s largest city.
Figrin D’an was a Bith musician who played the Kloo Horn. He put together an all-Bith band of musicians and created Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes. Figrin D’an served as the band’s leader and frontman. He was a tad overbearing towards his bandmates, but helped them gain a good reputation within the galaxy. His impressive skills as a musician on multiple instruments gave him the nickname, “Fiery” Figrin D’an.
Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes commonly played at the Mos Eisley Cantina. They made their official debut while performing during a scene in A New Hope. The band was playing their most popular song, “Mad About Me,” when the tune was interrupted as Obi-Wan cut off the arm of Ponda Baba while defending Luke Skywalker. The band returned playing their song once the fight was over. Nothing could stop them from their music.
