31. Enfys Nest – North Dakota

North Dakota is a Midwestern state in the northern region of the United States, bordering Canada. The state relies heavily on natural resources for its economies, such as oil and natural gas. The ample supply of natural resources might catch the attention of Enfys Nest.

Enfys Nest is a female resistance fighter and the leader of a group of pirates called the Cloud-Riders. She and her crew first appear in Solo: A Star Wars Story as enemies of Crimson Dawn. Enfys Nest led the Cloud-Riders to steal coaxium, hyperspace fuel, but were met by Han Solo stealing the same supply. The Cloud-Riders eventually tracked down Han and the coaxium, convincing him that they were on the same side. The important fuel was then given to Saw Gerrera to help the rebellion effort.

It also seems fitting that North Dakota is nicknamed the “Roughrider State.” Enfys is known to ride a swoop bike during her marauding missions. The swoop bikes are very difficult to control, but travel at great speeds. Enfys and her gang of pirates can perfectly be described as Roughriders. They did try to take down a train carrying a load of coaxium, after all. Just think what they would do with the state’s supply of oil and gas.
