“It’s a trap” but this match isn’t. Admiral Ackbar is of the Mon Calamari species, an amphibious group that lived on a planet covered by water. The species are known for their fish-like humanoid look with salmon-colored skin. What better match than a state that relies on seafood for a major portion of their economy?

Maine is one of the best seafood locations in the country thanks to its abundance of lobster. Some might agree that Admiral Ackbar looks more like a lobster or crustacean rather than a fish. Speaking of fish, Maine also depends greatly on commercial fishing due to its border on the Atlantic ocean. The Mon Calamari species have been known to live on floating cities so they would feel right at home in Maine or on a fishing boat.

Admiral Ackbar was best known as a commander of the Rebel Alliance. He made his first appearance in 1983’s Return of the Jedi. He led a small navy during combat missions against the Galactic Empire, most specifically, the Battle of Endor. Admiral Ackbar reprised his role in The Force Awakens as part of the team plotting to destroy Starkiller Base. He made one final appearance in The Last Jedi while aiding the Resistance, but the mission would be his last.
