49. Leia Organa – Massachusetts
Massachusetts was vital in shaping the culture of the United States. The state, particularly the city of Boston, is home to some of the best educational institutions in the world. The state is also the birthplace of some of the most influential families in politics. When thinking of intelligence and political dynasties, the name Leia Organa comes to mind.
Leia is the daughter of Padmé Amidala and Anakin Skywalker but was raised by Bail Organa as the Princess of Alderaan. Princess Leia is Force-sensitive like her twin brother, Luke. She grew up as a supporter of the Republic and greatly opposed the Empire. She eventually becomes an integral piece to the Rebel Alliance and assists in destroying the Death Star alongside Luke and Han.
After the defeat of the Empire, Leia settles down with Han and the two have a son named Ben. The son would later go on to become Kylo Ren after he’s pulled to the Dark Side. Leia becomes a member of the Galactic Senate, but doesn’t think enough is being down to deal with the First Order so she creates the Resistance. General Organa continues to lead the Resistance and its forces against the First Order to protect the galaxy.
