7. Droopy McCool – Missouri

Missouri is the home of many well-known musicians. The state has a long history with music including rock, country, jazz, and blues. The culture of Missouri still takes pride in music so we think the state would have no issue taking in one of the Star Wars universe’s most underrated musicians in Droopy McCool.

Droopy was a member of the popular Max Rebo Band and often played as Jabba the Hutt’s palace band in Tatooine. He has one of the best names within the galaxy, but chose to go with the stage name, “Snit.” Droopy played the Chindinkalu flute and served as the lead horn player of the band. Their best-known song was called “Jedi Rocks” which the 12-member ensemble band played for Jabba in Return of the Jedi. Their second performance of the song was interrupted when Leia snuck in the palace to rescue Han.

The character of Droopy McCool was a member of the Kitonak species. They were known for their pink leathery skin and have no eyes. Their bodies were also described to give off a vanilla scent which would be pleasant to listeners in attendance when Droopy played his music. Even though Droopy commonly performed in dive bars, we think he would find a loyal following in Missouri.
