15. Asajj Ventress

Asajj Ventress is not the only Dathomirian to make this list (I’m sure you can make an educated guess on who the other one is). I wouldn’t say she’s comparable to Anakin Skywalker, but the two do have something in common. Both have been affiliated with the Jedi and the Sith.

As a young child, Ventress trained under Jedi Knight Ky Narec until his death caused her to fall to the dark side where Count Dooku took her under his wing. She became an assassin for the Sith and as soon as she started to become more powerful, they wanted to kill her.

Ventress showed no hesitation when she went up against Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Even though she was disabled by Anakin, she wasn’t done fighting. She even went up against Ahsoka Tano and Luminara Unduli at the same time, who were both pretty skilled themselves.

Her skills are the reason the Sith used her in the first place and her demise came when she chose to save Quinlan Vos. Ventress and Vos were in the bounty hunter business together and her sacrifice after years of fighting for the Sith allowed him to let go of the dark side. It was an admirable moment, even if it doesn’t necessarily redeem all of the horrible things she had done.
