25 greatest Star Wars fighters of all time
10. Thrawn
Thrawn doesn’t fight as much as many others on this list, and that’s mainly because of how capable he is when it comes to analyzing situations and staying a few steps ahead of everyone else. One of his better moments in Star Wars Rebels comes when he finds out that Agent Kallus is Fulcrum and confronts him. The two engage in hand-to-hand combat and Thrawn’s training goes far beyond what Kallus was taught at the Imperial Academy.
In the above episode of Rebels Recon, the crew talked a bit about Thrawn. He’s not someone who you’ll see running into the middle of every fight. Instead, he’ll be the one orchestrating them. He’s one of the most intelligent characters that Star Wars has seen, which is what allowed him to quickly climb the ranks.
If you read the Thrawn books by Timothy Zahn, you’ll get more of a backstory on how Thrawn was trained. Even though we don’t visually get to see all of his fights, we know enough about him to know just how good of a fighter he is.
With the way Star Wars Rebels ended and the fact that there’s a third book on the way from Zahn, there’s still plenty more story left for the character that could further solidify how talented he is as a fighter.
