4. Sheev Palpatine/Darth Sidious

Chancellor Palpatine hid his evil side well. He looked unassuming and acted as if he was on the side of the Republic for so long. He saw exactly who Anakin was and successfully turned him. While Darth Vader is ruthless within his own right, Darth Sidious had a fighting style that allowed him to take out four Jedi with ease when they went to arrest him.

Darth Sidious took on Yoda and while Yoda wasn’t defeated, you could visualize just how much Sidious was tapped into the dark side of the Force. He lives for the fight and it’s what he’s best at due to just how powerful he is. There’s no denying that he’s more powerful than many others in the galaxy.

Star Wars even did a nice job of just making Darth Sidious look evil. When he uses his Force lightning, he gets nothing but pleasure from using it. The same can be said for each time he swings his lightsaber.

Sidious was even thrilled to see Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker fighting each other. While he wasn’t fighting himself, you could see just how much he loves a good fight. When Luke refused to turn to the dark side, though, Sidious hit him with Force lightning. All it took was a brief moment of caring from Vader for him to choose his son over his master. Sidious died while trying to turn Luke and it wasn’t surprising that he died fighting.
