Star Wars: Palpatine did not create Rey, the clues don’t line up

One of the Star Wars theories about Rey is that she was born of the force, but there are lot of clues about her origin that say that is not the case.

Ever since Rey was revealed to be force sensitive there have been so many Star Wars theories about who she is — is she a Skywalker, a Kenobi?

InThe Last Jedi it was revealed that Rey’s parents were nobodies. People were surprised by this and thought Kylo was lying but Rey was the one who said it.

With the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker teaser trailer, we hear Palpatine’s laugh at the end. There has been speculation that the Emperor created Rey through the force as he did with Anakin Skywalker.

Let’s go into why that doesn’t make sense: The Force Awakens take place 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi. Unless Palpatine created her right before he died, Rey would have to at least be 30 years old. She looks to be at least in her early 20s, so it doesn’t make sense for that reason

The other reason this doesn’t make sense is that J.J. Abrams, who directed The Force Awakens and The Rise Of Skywalker has said that Rey’s parents being nobody was always the plan. So making the Emperor the creator of Rey undoes the concept that you don’t have to be born from greatness to be great.

I think that is such an important message.
