13. Chewbacca’s rage
Movie: Episode VII – The Force Awakens

Chewbacca’s bond with Han Solo has been one of the most heartwarming aspects in Star Wars. The background story regarding their friendship took center stage in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Chewie continues to be a hero in the franchise and he seems even more motivated to help the Resistance now that he lost his co-pilot.
In The Force Awakens, Chewbacca accompanied Han and Finn to Starkiller Base to disable the shields so that the Resistance could attack. While there, they also take the time to rescue Rey. Han encountered his son Ben, now going by the name Kylo Ren, and is subsequently killed. Chewie went into rage mode after seeing his closest friend get murdered.
Chewbacca managed to shoot Kylo with his bowcaster, hitting him in the waist. He also was able to detonate the charges which destroyed the shields and allowed Poe to attack and destroy the base.
Kylo then went after Rey and Finn before Chewie arrived with the Millennium Falcon to get them off the planet. Even after the tragic event surrounding Han’s death, Chewie fought in honor of his best friend.
