10. Yoda saves the day

Movie: Episode II – Attack of the Clones

Characters involved: Yoda, Count Dooku, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker

Yoda is easily considered one of the most beloved characters in the Star Wars universe. He made his movie debut in Empire Strikes Back as he trained Luke Skywalker. The wise Jedi Master was given a larger role in the prequel trilogy which showcased his superior skills and intelligence.

Yoda made Obi-Wan Kenobi a Jedi Knight following the death of Qui-Gon Jinn. He also eventually gave Obi-Wan his blessing in training young Anakin. In Attack of the Clones, Yoda served as the Grandmaster as well as Master of the High Council.

Later in the movie, Count Dooku ordered the execution of Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Padmé. Jedi arrived to fight the Separatists, but Dooku still tried to get away before being stopped by Obi-Wan and Anakin.

Dooku overpowered both Obi-Wan and Anakin during the lightsaber duel. He even cut off Anakin’s arm, but before he could make his kill, Yoda intervened. Yoda proved to be no match for his former apprentice, but the Republic defenses allowed Dooku to make his escape. Even though he got away, Yoda arrived in time to save his allies.
