25. L3-37’s liberation

Movie: Solo: A Star Wars Story

Characters involved: L3-37, Lando Calrissian, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Tobias Beckett

L3-37 served as a companion droid to Lando Calrissian. After Lando is hired by Han Solo and Tobias Beckett to transport them to Kessel to steal coaxium, L3-37 decided to join them. They used the Millennium Falcon to travel to the space mines. While Qi’ra got the group inside, L3-37 had her own side mission.

Inside the mining compound, L3-37 took control of the command center and freed the enslaved droids who were being controlled by the Pyke Syndicate. The freed droids started to rebel against the guards while they also set loose other droids around the mine. The droid revolt resulted in complete chaos which gave Han, Chewie, Tobias, and Lando enough time to get to the Falcon safely. They were also able to steal the coaxium from the commotion that L3-37 started.

L3-37 continued to lead the liberation towards the ship to fend off Dryden Vos’ security guards. During the short fight, L3 got hit and severely injured. Lando tried to rescue the droid but it lost most of its parts. Unable to save L3, Lando removed her neural core and linked her data to the Falcon. L3-37 was uploaded into the ship and served as the navigational system.
