6. Keanu Reeves

Yes, ladies and gentlemen: we are in the Keanu-ssance. It’s happening.

Keanu Reeves has had no shortage of roles in 2019 with a long list that includes Toy Story 4, Cyberpunk 2077, Always Be My Maybe, and, most notably, John Wick Chapter 3 – Parabellum. His popularity his exploding 16 years after his final performance as Neo in the Matrix Trilogy—Keanu is no stranger to science fiction.

Most importantly, he does a lot of his own stunts, even at 54 years old, and told the TODAY Show in May that he does 90% of the action you see in John Wick. He mentioned it’s all a combination of judo, jiu jitsu, and marksmanship, the latter of which he has worked on perfecting (very intensely) with Taran Tactical Innovations.

To me, this screams that we need to get a blaster-rifle or lightsaber into the hands of Keanu.

"“I’m maintaining the connection with the audience and the story. If it’s wacky, crazy stuff, then you’re just like, ‘Oh my god, what did I just see?’”"

Keanu understands the bigger picture of what this John Wick entails. He knows it’s not just another job for him to get paid, but rather something he knows can connect with audiences on a whole new level, rather than going through the same old song and dance. With Keanu, you’re getting authenticity and you’re getting someone who embodies and owns all aspects of his character.

light. Trending. Star Wars fan cast: Keanu Reeves for Darth Revan

With that in mind, he would surely be able to handle the stakes in Star Wars and deliver something unique. He doesn’t necessarily need a leading role or to steal the show, but his casting could raise the bar for Star Wars combat.

If Knights of the Old Republic is indeed the movie we’re getting in 2022, my dream casting is Keanu as Darth Revan.
