Star Wars: 13 best moments of rebels fighting for their independence
Donald Glover is Lando Calrissian and Phoebe Waller-Bridge is L3-37 in SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY
L3 frees the droids
In Solo: A Star Wars Story, one of the best moments happened while on Kessel – before the famed run.
L3-37 was a droid filled with a need to free her fellow droids. Resisting blots were no match for her.
When they arrived on one of the mines on Kessel to get coaxium and found droids enslaved, L3 could not let that one go.
Plus, the crew needed a distraction.
L3 freed the droids being used as slaves, which then started freeing the other slaves in the mine. There was full-on rebellion on Kessel all thanks to L3.
Unfortunately, L3’s final act in this body was to free the enslaved droids. She was shot while shouting in jubilation over freeing her fellow droids.
Her neural core was then inputted into the Millennium Falcon where L3 lives on.
The way L3 spoke about droids also made others look at them differently. While we have R2-D2, C-3PO and BB-8 in Star Wars, droids have been mostly replaceable.
However, it certainly seems many of them have intelligence that make them not just computers, but sentient beings.
L3 brought up great points about droids being able to have equal rights as organic beings.
But she didn’t just talk the walk. When the chance came up to create a rebellion, she was right there in the middle of it.
