Star Wars Resistance season 2: Everything we know so far about the show’s final season

An official release date for the second season of the animated series has been released, along with a trailer that will take your breath away.
Star Wars Resistance may be a show made with kids in mind, but many fans of all ages have been waiting patiently for news of a second season to finally drop.
The twist at the end of Season 1 left us all wondering how Kaz and the rest of the team would survive on the Colossus while on the run from the First Order. Now, we know they’re going to make it — but it isn’t going to be easy.
Mark your calendars, Star Wars fans — we know when the Resistance will return at last.
Along with the announcement, an official trailer for Season 2 has been released, hinting at the return of fan-favorite characters and teasing the epic space battles soon to come.

Season 2 will pick up where the first season left off, following the Colossus and its crew as they drift through space. The season will take place during the events of The Last Jedi and will lead into The Rise of Skywalker.
Kylo Ren will make at the very least a brief appearance this season,
The second season of Star Wars Resistance will premiere this fall, Sunday, October 6 on Disney Channel and the DisneyNOW app.
Additionally, Lucasfilm has announced Season 2 will be the conclusion to the short-lived series.
It’s possible the show’s ending will align with the events of The Rise of Skywalker, which is the end of the Skywalker saga as a whole. It’s also possible that this was never meant to be a long-running series, and producers are finishing out the story without feeling the need to draw it out.
It’s unclear whether or not the show’s ending has anything to do with Season 1 ratings.
Whatever the reason behind the show’s conclusion, let’s hope it’s a finale we’ll want to watch again and again.
