Rise of the First Order

The rise of the First Order is interesting. It’s been alluded to in some books and canon, but we haven’t heard the full story on screen.

Disney+ has changed all that and we get to have any story we want to see — as long as Lucasfilm is willing to change all that.

Admiral Sloane has been a fascinating character. While she inherently believes in the Emperor and what he stood for — she could do without some of the others — she was a complicated person. She had a laser focus and didn’t want to deviate from that.

Whatever her negative qualities may be, she still lived by a set of codes that I could respect. Sloane was tough and a survivor, and I would love nothing more than to see how she built up the First Order beating back other those sought the power she managed to wrest away from the boys club.

How did the First Order manage to grow in the shadows? And what was the Republic doing while all of this was going on?

We got some of those answers in Bloodline, but that was from the perspective of Leia Organa.

Let’s see it from the side of the First Order.
