Kaz doesn’t give up

Even though Tam is hitching a ride with the First Order, Kaz hasn’t given up on her. It’s clear throughout the episode he misses her. He accidentially calls Torra by Tam’s name and talks about her constantly when trying to fix the articial gravity system.

He knew Tam would be able to do it.

When Kaz sees the murder droid try to send a communication, he got the idea to send Tam a message to her comm in hopes she woud listen to it and hear his side of the story.

Tam didn’t want to listen, but that doesn’t mean Kaz is giving up.

While he is running from the First Order, he’s eventually going to have to face them in order to rescue his friend.

At some point, Tam will likely listen to the message. Perhaps when she begins to realize the First Order isn’t everything she was led to believe. If Tam is so upset by lies and deciet just wait until she begins to pull back the layers of the First Order.

It’s a good thing she has a friend like Kaz. Because while Kaz is goofy, messy and a bit immature, his loyalty is deep.

He did mess up with Tam. He should have trusted her and let her know he was working for the Resistance since they were on the same team. Once things started getting hairy on the Colossus, Kaz should have taken Tam into his confidence.

He can’t fix the past, though it seems Kaz is trying to work on the future.
