The Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer should come any day, but is Lucasfilm not done teasing us?

We will get a trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker one day. What day? Who knows? But maybe this coming Monday.

We’ve already gotten a couple of teasers for Episode IX, but those were just appetizers. We are looking for the main course because – and I’m going to keep going with this – we are hungry for something related to The Rise of Skywalker.

There’s a chance we get another teaser before the actual trailer – again, just a chance.

This latest rumor comes from Daniel Richtman, who posted this rumor on his Patreon, which was then shared to Reddit.  He says there will be a teaser coming this Saturday at noon ET.

It seems a bit odd for a number of reasons.

1. We’ve gotten the teases. The last one showed Dark Rey. We’ve been sitting on that for weeks. If there is something bigger they are willing to tease Lucasfilm hasn’t shown yet, then wow.

Bring it on!

Yet, it feels like a good stopping point until we get the full-length trailer.

2. Saturday morning at noon ET is a weird time. First of all, it’s Saturday. Generally, these types of things – even a teaser – aren’t released on Saturdays. Weekends are tough time to capture the attention the way you would want to.

I know there are college football games, and ABC and ESPN tend to have a lot of people watching. But, it really is a bad time. Just think about all the things you have to do on the weekend (especially if you have kids), and then have to pause in the middle of the day to watch a teaser.

It’s a bad time.

3. Why not just give us the trailer? Who needs a teaser of the trailer when it’s maybe about 48 hours away at that point? Just send out a tweet the trailer is coming on Monday night and let the Star Wars fans go crazy at that point.

If you have been watching Star Wars fans at all, the wait has been just as effective as any teaser or trailer . Another teaser at this point doesn’t seem like the most efficient use of anyone’s time.

JUST GIVE US THE TRAILER ALREADY!
