A new teaser for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has fans buzzing about the possible ships joining the Resistance in the final movie.
I’ve been critical of the marketing for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker up until now. Tonight, we get the final trailer before the movie comes in two months.
But even leading up to tonight’s trailer, Lucasfilm managed to get fans even more excited by releasing a teaser for the trailer. There’s so much teasing going, but it’s working.

The latest one has three quick scenes. It’s the middle scene that has the collective fan base on edge. The Millennium Falcon swoops in front of a giant contingent of Resistance ships on the way to what is presumed to be a mega space battle.
Watch the teaser here. We’ll wait.
Now that you watched it, there are so many ships that look familiar, ones we’ve never seen before and, of course, one very special one.
Ghost.
It’s not confirmed the ship to the right of the Millennium Falcon is Ghost. But it’s not NOT confirmed. Also, Ghost has appeared in live-action before in Rogue One as more of an Easter Egg.
If it is Ghost, the other question is who is flying? Is it Hera? Jacen? Someone else?
Here’s a breakdown of the ships in the scene from one fan who is a connoisseur of Star Wars ships. Check out this Twitter thread from @AdmiralNick22 for all that ships spotted, so far.
I haven’t seen the Colossus, but I have to imagine it will be part of the final battle in some way. It’s been said Star Wars Resistance will lead into The Rise of Skywalker and the platform has been important because it works as a refueling station.
Given its impact and importance to the Resistance and First Order, the Colossus just might appear in the movie.
Seeing how crazy Star Wars Twitter got over this one scene, just imagine what the actual full-length trailer is going to be like. The internet might actually break.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres December 20.
