Star Wars: 5 things we want to see from Jedi: Fallen Order

Ok so this is a pretty minor one, but one that I feel needs to be added nonetheless: please keep the cameo appearances to a minimum. I don’t mean the likes of Saw Gerrera, of whom are seemingly playing a vital role in the narrative, I mean little on-screen appearances that the title could do without.

Darth Vader instantly springs to mind. We know that the primary force pushing back against Cal will be members of the Inquisitorius, but it would be super easy, to the point of boring, for the final boss fight to be against The Chosen One himself.

Similarly, a detour to Tatooine to pop in on Obi-Wan would add absolutely nothing to Cal’s journey. I dread to think of the ways C-3PO and R2-D2 could be shoehorned onto the screen.

Simply put; we don’t need it. A contained story, with characters that we get to know over its course, is the perfect palate cleanser in a series so tied up in nostalgia. A new story, with new characters, please.
