Following Entertainment Weekly’s slew of new images and interviews in promotion of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, brand new footage has been released.
With only 30 days until Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits cinemas worldwide, the promotion machine is well and truly on full power. A brand new spot has made its way into the wild, showing footage from the film we have yet to have seen.
That footage is now available on, basically, every social media platform. Or below.
While we’re shown precious little (as has become tradition for this latest trilogy of films), what we do see is tantalising nonetheless. The footage puts the focus on Rey, in various settings. Shots of her and our heroes on Pasaana, her traversing Kijimi with her lightsaber ignited, and in front of Vader’s mask, from the most recent trailer, are sequenced over a monologue from Finn.
“We’re all in this together…until the end.”
The clip ends with Rey battling with Kylo Ren, presumably on Kef Bir, and a shot of Rey jumping from, what appears to be, a Star Destroyer, into the Millennium Falcon, as Kylo watches on.

What does all this mean?
As of right now, very little, unfortunately. We’re no closer to truly understanding the structure of the film, or just how important these scenes are. J.J. Abrams has confirmed there are important battle sequences outside of the snippets we have already seen, so there’s every chance these clips, and the clips shown previously, are a single piece to a much, much larger puzzle.
With a month (or just under, for those of us in the UK) until we’re shown the final product, we don’t have too long to wait how it all plays out!
The Rise of Skywalker releases December 20.
