The Rise of Skywalker: What the TV spots aren’t showing us

The Overall Plot
After two and a half trailers and about 15 TV spots, we still have no idea what the plot of The Rise of Skywalker is about. There have been rumors that the gang is on a journey to find Sith and Jedi artifacts but that hasn’t been confirmed.
We do know the Emperor is back and there is a final battle between the Resistance and the First Order but what actually drives this film is a mystery.
The TV spots focus mostly on the scenes with Rey and Kylo fighting on an ocean moon on top of the wreckage of the Second Death Star. They also heavily feature the giant space battle between the good and bad guys, and also show bits and pieces of the action on Pasana.
We don’t know why our heroes are where they are or what they are doing or planning to do in these locations but the First Order is after them and trying to put a stop to it.
One would think the plot would at least be alluded to in all these brief ads, but other than the fact that this movie is the final chapter of the Star Wars Saga, we know next to nothing.
