With the return of Lando Calrissian to the Star Wars saga in The Rise of Skywalker, it begs the question, will we see his good pal Lobot too? Lobot was one of the first cyborgs in the Star Wars saga. He appears human but has this built-in computerized headband that he uses to communicate with different aspects of Cloud City. He helped Lando get a bit of revenge on Darth Vader after he kept changing the deal, by assisting him with the rescue of Leia and Chewie from the Empire.
Lobot is a side character that only die hard fans will remember but there is a precedence for seeing these types of characters in the Sequel Trilogy. Nien Nunb was Lando’s co-pilot in Return of the Jedi. He surprsingly showed back up in The Force Awakens as a pilot with the Resistance. That was completely unexpected but appreciated by fans all over the world. Lobot could get a similar type of revival in the final chapter.
If Lando is helping out the Resistance as it appears he is, he may have been asked to recruit any help he can. A logical call would be to his gray jumpsuit wearing, billowy armed, bald friend. Maybe Lobot is still running Cloud City and has access to its security forces. Any little bit helps, and we could see the return of a little known but classic character.
