1. Padme’s “The Crown”

In retrospect, Padme was one of the most underrated characters of the Star Wars franchise. Aside from birthing Luke and Leia, Padme was also the youngest queen in the history of her home planet  of Naboo. She broke into world politics at the age of 14, and yet we barely know anything about her career as a ruler.

Padme served two terms as Queen Amidala after the invasion of Naboo, and then served as senator for both Naboo and Chommell. While we occasionally saw how beloved she was by her inner circle and got a couple of glimpses of her activities as a political activist, there’s little to no insight into the kind of ruler Padme was. We also don’t know much about her older sister Sola, or her love affair with the artist Palo, which was mentioned in Attack of the Clones.

Padme had an extensive career before getting involved with one of the most dangerous Jedi in Star Wars history and giving birth to the saviors of the galaxy. Wouldn’t we all like to see where Princess Leia gets her leadership qualities from? We think a Queen Amidala film would be well worth seeing.
