Star Wars Resistance recap: Kaz and Neeku are caught on a First Order station
Kaz, Neeku and CB-23 are caught on a First Order refueling station on the latest Star Wars Resistance. Tam is also on board during their break-in.
Star Wars Resistance Season 2, Episode 11 is probably one of the best episodes of the series. It added tension, the First Order and enough levity to bring together a great episode.
There were a few things that made this episode so good and it was right from the start. Rather than get into a whole conversation about what the Colossus needs, the episode starts with Kaz, Neeku and CB-23 on a First Order refueling station that looks exactly like the Colossus.

Tam and Rucklin are on the station, too, as they were sent there on a supply run. While walking down the hall, Tam thinks she sees Kaz – and she did.
But even this little scene was so well done We don’t see Kaz’s face and we see the whole thing play out from Tam’s point of view. But Tam and the viewers know Kaz and his yell so well at this point, there was no doubting it was him.
Kaz and Neeku need to get a trans-binary deflector, which keeps the denizens of the Colossus from dying from cosmic radiation. They can’t just head to a local store to pick one up since they are on the run from the First Order.
So, it seems their best option was to steal one.
Along with Tam and Rucklin, Commander Pyre and General Hux (not voiced by Domhall Gleeson, but Ben Prendergrast) are also on board.
Hux and Kaz meet face-to-face with Kaz escorting him to a meeting. While on the elevator, Kaz could barely contain himself as General Hux spouted his useless propoganda. Hux is the guy who ordered the destruction of Hosnian Prime, of which Kaz saw the video.
While his family made it out safely, Kaz’s home and friends were killed at the hands of the man standing three feet away from him. Kaz’s emotions nearly got the better of him, but was stopped when the elevator doors opened with Commander Pyre standing there — one of the few people on the station who would recoginze KAz.
While Kaz gets away in this moment, it doesn’t take long before they’re caught. Kaz and Neeku get popped by Rucklin who immediately turns them in to security. Tam hears the ruckus and taps into the station’s security camera system. She hears Kaz and Neeku explaining they need the piece because otherwise everyone on the Colossus is going to die.
This is the moment that will define Tam’s actions moving forward. She lets Kaz and Neeku out of the locked room and then tells stormtroopers they went in the opposite direction. Tam allows them to get away, which shows where her heart really lies.
The problem is Agent Tierney, who seems adept at psychological battle, realizes this as well and is planning on using Tam against the Colossus.
What’s interesting is how crazy the First Order seems about the Colossus. General Hux was screaming like a mad man about the Colossus not being under First Order control despite the fact that it seems like the First Order has gained a considerable amount of control of the galaxy, including most of the refueling stations in the area.
Hux didn’t add much to the episode, but his urgency over the situation might make the Colossus a priority for the First Order.
