While we wish we could have been there, here are pictures from the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker world premiere as the next best thing.

The epic world premiere of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker came on Monday night in Los Angeles with dozens of celebrities and fans.

Awwww. This picture made me all kinds of sad — but in a good way — and for so many reasons. Han and Ben. Father and Son. But it also made me sad because we couldn’t get the family photo with our dear Carrie Fisher no longer being with us.

Yet, it was also great seeing Harrison Ford at the red carpet premiere.

Luke! The Skywalker Saga could not be complete without the man, Luke Skywalker himself. This is a perfect photo that shows how great his importance has been to the saga and also how great the movies have been for him.

It’s a good thing they’re frinds in real life because I don’t think Poe and Kylo would get along in the Star Wars world.

J.J. Abrams didn’t expect to come back from The Rise of Skywalker, but here is looking dapper as he signs autographs for the fans outside of the theater.

They were there from the beginning. The iconic John Williams provided a wonderful score and Anthony Daniels has melted our hearts as C-3PO.
