The wait is basically over. The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters in mere hours and all the questions will be answered as the Skywalker saga comes to an end. This is the final movie in the nine-part story and should encapsulate moments and characters from every film that came before it.
The Last Jedi hit theaters two years ago and has become one of the most decisive movies in the entire franchise. Some fans love it while others loathe the decisions Rian Johnson made, especially his use of Luke Skywalker. Love it or hate it, it is Star Wars canon and does make connections between the past films in the series, while pushing the story forward in a bold new direction.
The Rise of Skywalker isn’t just the final chapter in the Star Wars series, it is also the direct sequel to The Last Jedi. Episode IX should answer many of the questions The Last Jedi brought up and expand upon those. Here are four things from The Last Jedi that should be in The Rise of Skywalker.
