9. Ugnaught

Disney kind of beat me to the punch with this one, giving us Kuiil. But I’m going to pull the “they didn’t use him enough” card and follow up with how a story focusing on his life rising out of servitude would make for an interesting fresh take on a minor character that could be so much more.

More than that though, Ugnaught‘s are also depicted as shyster gnomes that play keep away from a Wookiee with a droid head, and frankly, there’s just a lot to build from there. Like, a lot. And we didn’t get that shyster quality from Kuiil, which meant that he probably went through that phase of his life, likely during his rebellious teen years, and proceeded into such a wise and respected man in the Star Wars universe.

I can dig that. I dig the idea of a bunch of shyster gnomes doing shyster things in their shyster way, and one man’s attempt to turn that shyster servitude into a unified movement. Also, are you tired of me saying shyster yet?

Kuiil brought new and necessary presence to the Ugnaughts, so maybe it’s a lot to ask for more of them now, but… have I mentioned shyster gnomes?
