As Kaz continues his fight against the First Order, his gradual growth has been one of the big highlights of Star Wars Resistance.
As Star Wars Resistance progresses, Kaz continues to grow. It’s a nice change from the first season of the show Kaz seemed like a one-note character good for just his silly hijinks.
While we still get a little bit of that, we also get Kaz making smart and bold decisions, choices that others trust including Yeager.

On Season 2, Episode 12 ‘The Missing Agent,’ Kaz receives a Resistance distress signal on a nearby planet and he wants to go investigate. Doza doesn’t want to, but it interesting to see Yeager side with Kaz. Yeager is beginning to trust Kaz’s choices and he is also willing to fight more and more against the First Order.
Kaz has shown he is smart on his feet and can kind of handle himself in a fight. He’s not the best fighter, which is why he always brings Synara along when things might get messy. She is the real hero of this story.
As Kaz, Yeager and Synara find the source of the signal, they realize a Resistance spy is in trouble. A bounty hunter is rounding up spies for the First Order simply. As Ax Tagrin told Commander Pyre, he’s just in it for the money.
The bounty hunter is actually a scary villain, even more so than some of the First Order. You know what you are going to get with the First Order. It’s those like Tagrin that you are unsure of because they are unpredictable and don’t live by much of a code other than looking out for themselves.
For the first time in a while, it seems like Kaz is really in trouble. Doza may not be coming back for him, Yeager and Synara because the First Order is on the way. They are going to have to figure out a way off the planet without exposing the Colossus.
As Kaz and his friend figure it out, it will be intriguing to watch Kaz grow. His growth wasn’t an overnight thing and the subtle growth of it through the first two seasons has been a joy to watch.
Star Wars Resistance airs on Disney XD Sundays at 6 pm ET.
