The Mandalorian Season 2 is set to air this fall. Here are 10 Star Wars saga characters that may pop up.
Well, if you weren’t already excited about the return of The Mandalorian in the Fall 2020, there’s more reason to be now. According to “insiders,” Season 2 may see appearances from some established characters in the Skywalker saga of the Star Wars universe.
There’s actually a lot to process there, as one of the things that made the Mandalorian stand apart was its distance from the Skywalker saga. It felt like it’s own thing, only borrowing certain unmistakable staples of the universe like Stormtroopers and Walkers.
But the possibility of Skywalker saga characters is tantalizing. We do have to take it with a grain of salt though. We won’t see someone like Han Solo (though I wouldn’t rule out Chewie) or Princess Leia. We probably aren’t going to see any fan service cameos. Whoever we do see will need to be a part of the story. Unless Jon Favreau has decided to have a few cameos all of a sudden, but I doubt that.
We also have to take into account the timeline here. The Mandalorian takes place after Return of the Jedi, so obviously no one killed before then would be popping up. That includes Boba Fett.
Lastly, we have to consider what “established characters” means. It doesn’t have to be a big-time superstar. It could just be a side character that has a small backstory. So with that in mind, let’s talk about who may pop up.
We start with No. 10.
