8. Dengar

Yes, there are a lot of bounty hunters on this list (and more to come). But that’s because of the untapped potential of the bounty hunters that George Lucas introduced in the original trilogy. The group that Darth Vader hires to pursue Han Solo is a delectable group of hardened hunters, the best the galaxy has ever seen.

Dengar is one such character. And while he doesn’t have any particular connection to the story, whereas IG-88 would evoke the droid arc of Din Djarin and Boba Fett carries the Mandalorian similarity, Dengar (and Bossk) would only be included because they’re cool, and we want to see more of them.

Dengar makes plenty of appearance in graphic novels, but even then he comes off as rather… feeble. This is a veteran of so many hunts who doesn’t get screen time to show his true skills. And if the empire turned to him once to hunt down Solo, clearly they have a means to contact him and can get in touch with him again for another mark.

Casting him would be fun too, as he’s the only member of the bounty hunter crew that’s human and would therefore require an actual actor.
