Not Getting the Original Gang Back Together

When Episode VII was announced fans all over the world were giddy with excitement. They were actually going to see their favorite characters back on the big screen. Many wondered what had happened to Han, Leia, Luke, Lando, and Chewie after Return of the Jedi. Seeing them back together on the big screen was something that was truly going to be epic. So it was surprising the sequels didn’t do that.

It may have served the story better, but not having these characters interact with each other was pretty shocking. Han is off on his own smuggling again, Leia is leading the Resistance, Luke is exiled, and Lando is flat out M.I.A. until Rise of Skywalker. While fans did appreciate seeing them all back in the same film, not having them all interact with each other or go on another mission together seems like a missed opportunity.
