Poe Dameron

Poe Dameron is a great addition to the world of Star Wars. He’s a cocky as hell Resistance planet with dashing good looks and is braver than most. Poe is quick with a one-liner and is responsible for many of the best quips in the new movies.

He’s easily the best dogfighter in the Resistance who makes mowing down Tie-Fighters look like an art form. He is the first of the new “Big Three” that we meet, and forms a fast friendship with FN-2187 who he quickly renames “Finn”.

Poe doesn’t just stay this one-dimensional cocky starfighter though. He develops into a true leader. Poe has a close bond with General Leia and in The Last Jedi learns a valuable lesson about knowing when it’s better to run and live to fight another day, than sacrifice too much to win one small battle.

By the end of the Sequel Trilogy, Poe is one of the leaders of the Resistance. If a new government is formed, he is a clear front runner to be one of the leaders of it, especially after getting shot down by Zorii Bliss after the Battle of Exegol.
