With Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker coming out of theaters soon, the next big thing to wait for is the DVd, Blu-Ray and home digital release.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is still in theaters, but it won’t be there for much longer. The finale to the Skywalker Saga will soon be coming to DVD, Blu-Ray and Disney+.

But when?

While we don’t have an exact date, we can pin point a certain time. Disney has followed a specific path when it comes to its movies being released for in-home consumption.

Generally, the time has been about three months from when a movie first appeared on screen to when it made its DVD and Blu-Ray release. If that’s the case, we are looking at Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker to be on DVD and Blu-Ray in March.

For those that didn’t see the movie in theaters, that’s not too long to wait. Just another two months from now and you will get a chance to see just what happened to Rey, Kylo Ren, Finn, Poe and the others – unless, of course, you have been completely spoiled already.

For many Star Wars fans, it will be a chance to watch it again. The frenetic first half was difficult as the movie jumped from place to place very quickly. This will give fans chance to watch the movie again and see anything they may have missed.

Also, the DVD and Blu-Ray always comes with extras. We don’t know what they will be just yet, but they should be enjoyable. Perhaps we will get a fun and compassionate retrospective on General Leia.

Even though we don’t have the exact date just yet, we feel comfortable saying the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Blu-Ray and DVD should be out in March. As soon we have specific details, we will let you know.
