Star Wars: Details on Project Luminous coming in February
Scant details are available on Project Luminous, but it seems the light is about to shine on what this mysterious Star Wars project is about.
While Star Wars fans still don’t know what Project Luminous is, the wait will soon be over.
Several entertainement journalists have received an invite specifically about what many have presumed to be a publishing project. The details will be revealed on February 24. Given that such a large invite has gone out, it makes it seems it could be something bigger than a series of books.
We know what several prominent authors are attached to the mysterious project such as Charles Soule and Claudia Gray, but we don’t know much more than that.

It’s an announcement that is getting Star Wars fans excited because after a whirlwind December that saw The Mandalorian’s first season close out and The Rise of Skywalker premiere, fans have been feeling a little lonely this past month.
This is just speculation, but perhaps Project Luminous is part of a larger project. The novel and comics portion will be handled by the writers we know are attached, but there will also be movies and books associated with it.
Maybe it will have a new name once it goes public. Perhaps Project Luminous was just the code name until they had something more concrete in place — like The High Republic Era? While we certainly don’t know what it’s about yet, we only have a little over a month to wait. And if we can wait as long as we did for Episode IX, this month should go by fairly smoothly.
We’ll get more details Star Wars’ Project Luminous on February 24.
