Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge announced details and timeline for the upcoming Galactic Starcruiser Hotel at Walt Disney World.

Walt Disney World’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is about to become even more immersive with the addition of its highly anticipated hotel — the Galactic Starcruiser.

Disney World released a video to give fans an update on the progress being made on this ambitious venture. Reservations for the hotel will open sometime later this year and the hotel itself will be opening in 2021.

More from Disney

Guests will spend two nights and two days in the starcruiser that promises to give guests an all-immersive experience from a galaxy far, far away. The executive producer for Walt Disney Imagineering, Ann Morrow Johnson, revealed that guests will arrive at a terminal before being catapulted into space via a launch pod. The experience will then take you into the atrium where your adventure truly begins.

Children and adults alike will even be able to have their own lightsaber face-off against a training remote. Cabins will also feature bunk beds similar to Chewbacca’s and windows into outer space. Each room can sleep up to five people.

Guests aboard the Halycon ship will also be invited to tour the bridge where they will train you in defense systems, navigation, and much more. Guests will then have the opportunity to go on a “plant excursion” to Batuu. Instead of the typical bus or ferry boat trip, hotel guests will take an “exclusive transport” and emerge directly into the land (which is in Hollywood Studios).

Concept art for the hotel shows a bar with creatures, games, and libations along with droids, stormtroopers, and Chewbacca hanging out in the atrium.
