Star Wars: Debunking the rumors about Jake Lloyd
Rumors about Jake Lloyd, the former Star Wars actor, have floated around for years and it’s time to debunk some of them.
A few days ago I wrote an article about the update published on Geek News NOW from Jake Lloyd’s mother, Lisa. I learned some of the information in the article was incorrect. I wholeheartedly apologize and this article is going to highlight some of those falsehoods and shed some light on what’s true. Let’s dive into the former Star Wars actor’s rumors.

Despite popular belief, Jake did NOT destroy his Star Wars memorabilia. According to David Gremillion who broke the story on Jake’s health update, the memorabilia is in storage. This was verified by Jake and by his mother themselves.

Many sources have been told that Jake assaulted his mother but wasn’t charged. According to Gremillion, this never happened.
Jake Hates Star Wars
One thing I didn’t mention in my previous article was the rumor that Jake hated Star Wars because of the grief it caused him as a child. David stated in his article on Geek News Now that the former actor didn’t hate Star Wars and that he [David] had had the privilege of getting to know Jake, even allowing him to sit in for him on his Podcast occasionally. During the Podcast, Jake has directly spoken to the fans to dispel the rumors that he hated the franchise.

I also had a few things changed on the original article I wrote. I had the date of the South Carolina car chase changed to 2015. I changed the word ‘decided’ to ‘described’ in the section about Madison Lloyd’s death. This was just a spelling error and it also made me sound a little insensitive. I should have looked it over before I submitted it. I also want to thank Susan for making the edits.
