Cad Bane

Cad Bane is a badass bounty hunter who made his debut in the season finale of the first season of the Clone Wars. Bane comes from a familiar Star Wars species. He is a blue-skinned Duro and we do see one of the fellow members of his species in the Cantina scene in A New Hope.

Bane’s overall look is one of the coolest things about him. He looks like he came out of the Wild West with his long duster coat and wide-brimmed cowboy hat. In addition to his sweet-looking get-up, Bane also was decked out with plenty of weapons and gadgets. He had a breathing tube, which allowed him to avoid being Force-choked and breathe in space for a bit, rocket boots, a flame thrower, and stunners on his gloves. He was known for using a double set of pistol-resembling blasters and was extremely quick on the draw with a dead eye.

Cad Bane became the top bounty hunter in the galaxy after Jango Fett’s demise. His marks often put him in contact with the Jedi Order. He had many encounters over the years with Anakin Skywalker, Ashoka Tano, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Bane was a very smart and sly enemy who often outwitted the Jedi, seemingly always finding a way to escape arrest.

Bane was eventually outsmarted and arrested by Obi-Wan and Anakin, but will always be remembered for his cool look, demeanor, and ability to escape out of what looked to be impossible odds.
