Boba Fett

Boba Fett used to be cool. In The Empire Strikes Back he was easily the most badass looking bounty hunter. He had that cool looking helmet, battle scarred armor, and even a jet pack. He is singled out by Darth Vader for no disintegrations and his ship Slave 1, is one of the coolest in all of Star Wars.

His luster begins to wear off in Return of the Jedi. Boba Fett hangs around Jabba’s Palace after delivering the frozen in carbonite Han Solo. He assists in the sail barge fight but gets knocked into the Sarlaac Pit by accident by a blind Han Solo. That’s it. This cool mysterious bounty hunter dies by accidentally getting hit with a staff.

As disappointing as that was, his back story might be worse. Turns out Boba Fett was an unaltered clone of a bounty hunter, who was the basis for all the clones, Jango Fett. He hung around his father on some missions and helped him attempt to take out Obi-Wan Kenobi. He later holds his father’s helmet after Mace Windu severs his father’s head from his neck, and takes up the mantle of a bounty hunter.

One of the coolest things about Boba Fett was his Mandalorian armor. Well, it turns out he and his father Jango aren’t even true Mandalorians, they just somehow came across the armor. That fact adds another layer of lameness to him. Boba Fett was the best when he was shrouded in mystery. The more we saw and learned of this character the worse he got. It’s surprising he is still loved dearly by so many fans.
