After nearly six years, The Clone Wars is finally back.
Season 7, Episode 1 ‘The Bad Batch’ will stream on Disney+ today. If it follows The Mandalorian format, the show will hit the streaming service anywhere between 3-6 a.m. ET. though likely closer to the later time.
The re-ignition of The Clone Wars follows The Bad Batch, a group of clones with genetic mutations different from the regular clone solders. It seems they are on a mission to kick off Season 7. In a surprise to no one, things aren’t exactly as they seem.
The end of The Clone Wars (the event in this case) is near as the Republic forces have faced a series of devastating losses. Captain Rex teams up with Clone Force 99 (nicknamed The Bad Batch) to uncover the reasoning behind the Separatist’s successes. Rex is worried the Separatists have stolen data that is allowing them to predict the Grand Army’s moves.
This episode sees the return of Rex, Cody and hopefully a few more sorely missed characters.
