The Mandalorian: Characters who could lightsaber duel Moff Gideon in Season 2

If there is indeed epic lightsaber action in season two of The Mandalorian the most likely suspect to commence in battle with Moff Gideon is Mando himself. Gideon will be trying to track down the Mandalorian and his little buddy Baby Yoda A.K.A. The Child, and will surely come across them at some point in the season.

If it is Mando who engages in a lightsaber duel with the wielder of the Darksaber it brings up one huge question. Where does Mando get a lightsaber?

That is a logical question but also an easy answer. With all the planet-hopping Mando does as he tries to keep The Child safe from other bounty hunters, there’s a good chance he could come across an old abandoned lightsaber. Maybe they travel to Geonosis and enter the old, abandoned Colosseum.

There could easily be multiple lightsabers buried in the sand. A very interesting twist would be if Mando and Baby Yoda ended up on Bespin and found a certain blue lightsaber that may or may not still have a hand attached to it. They could be the ones who bring it to Maz Kanata, who Mando almost assuredly would be familiar with. Before they do that, Mando could ignite the blade to fight off the crazy Moff and his black Darksaber.

While Mando could be clunky with a lightsaber in his hands at first, he is probably the most likely to end up in a lightsaber duel with Moff Gideon.
