Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker releases on digital very soon. Here are some surprising details that were cut from the film.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker released in theaters last December and while it was mostly loved by fans, it was widely panned by critics. Personally, I enjoyed the film but there were some issues I had with it.

The plot was very rushed especially the Emperor’s return and it just felt like important pieces of the story were missing.

Turns out that was true.

With large portions of The Rise of Skywalker novelization being revealed online, important parts of the backstory of the film have come to light. These would’ve been very helpful details to know. They would’ve helped us better understand parts of the movie and how and why certain characters were back or what their overall purpose was in the previous films in the sequel trilogy.

So here are surprising scenes and moments that were cut from the movie that would’ve helped viewers understand some important plot points and story details of The Rise of Skywalker.

Spoiler Warning: If you haven’t read the novel yet, turn back now if you don’t want to be spoiled.
