Star Wars: Ranking the top 5 lightsaber duels

With duels between the Jedi and the Sith being a cornerstone of the Star Wars franchise, here are what I consider to be the top 5 best duels.

A staple of the Star Wars franchise, arguably the most recognizable feature of the films is the lightsaber.

First appearing in Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977, a lightsaber has been featured in some capacity in every live-action Star Wars film, and of course, seeing them in battle is always a highlight of the movie.

Naturally, over the course of 11 live-actions movies, numerous lightsaber duels between the Jedi and the Sith have taken place. However, some of said duels are more well-regarded than others.

Some of the aforementioned duels are viewed more favorably because of a number of factors, such as the quality of the duel itself, the story behind it, and the nostalgia from when you first saw it.

This list will rank what I believe to be the top 5 lightsaber duels throughout these movies. Keep in mind that this is my own subjective opinion and if your favorites are different, that is perfectly fine.

But regardless of what your personal ranking is, I believe that the 5 duels on this list are ones every Star Wars fan needs to have seen.

Before we get stated, SPOILER WARNING, as I will be referencing movies in all three trilogies, including The Rise of Skywalker.
