Star Wars: The Clone Wars characters who could be in Season 2 of The Mandalorian

Captain Rex

Captain Rex’s inclusion in The Mandalorian would be a very simple addition. We already know he’s alive, as he appeared in the background of a scene in Return of the Jedi as a Rebellion soldier on the forest moon of Endor. He likely had some sort of interaction with former Rebel Shock Trooper Cara Dune over the years and that is where his introduction would be a smooth and easy one to make.

It’s probably safe to assume that Rex would stick around with the New Republic and offer to serve as a soldier in whatever capacity they best see fit. Maybe he is on the front lines on a mission and he encounters The Mandalorian or Cara Dune needs him for something that only he knows. Perhaps an old piece of Clone Wars era tech that only Rex knows how to run. The options are endless but Rex could easily be included in the show.

As for who would play Rex, that’s easy. Temura Morrison already portrayed the Clones in the films and he could do it again. They could die his hair white or digitally age him and suddenly we’d see Rex in the flesh for the first time since Return of the Jedi.
