The Ultimate Star Wars Boss

Every videogame needs to have its final boss and for Star Wars there are several options. As seen in the Rise of Skywalker, Emperor Palpatine served as the ultimate evil. Although Palpatine is a master manipulator and has been a long-running bane to the Jedi and the Galaxy in the films, he isn’t necessarily the most powerful evil that exists in the Star Wars universe.

Furthermore, with this game, the final boss would vary in Canon mode according to who it is you play as. For example, Darth Maul’s ultimate opponent would be Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Sidious/Emperor Palpatine’s would be his granddaughter, Rey.

In Infinities mode where the characters opponents can change depending on the choices made or who wins/loses Palpatine wouldn’t necessarily be the ultimate evil. Among those that would qualify for this besides the emperor would be The Son who is the living embodiment of the Dark Side. He could also be a downloadable or unlockable character in the game but there is actually a more powerful villain than him. The ultimate threat within Star Wars is a Dark Side entity known as Abeloth .

She was once the Mother figure among The Ones that Anakin, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan Kenobi met on the etheral dimension/planet of Mortis before she was imprisoned. In the hierarchy of bosses, she would be the equivalent of M. Bison or another final boss. In fact, within the Infinities mode, she could surpass Emperor Palpatine as the ultimate evil that Star Wars characters could confront.

So, what do you all think? Does this seem like the kind of game that any of you would be interested in playing? What would you all like to see in a Star Wars fighting game? Or, what would you all consider to be the ultimate Star Wars gaming experience? Please feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments section below. And if you’re really feeling enthusiastic about this idea please feel free to petition E.A./LucasArts.

Finally, I’d like to thank you all for reading this and I hope that you will stay healthy and safe during this health crisis that we are all facing. Just remember to keep the faith, (and maybe some extra t.p. 😉 ) everything will improve in time. May the Force be with you always.

If this has gotten you excited for a Star Wars fighting game may I suggest you read about Force Combat, a fan’s effort to create a rightful successor to MoTK. Also, there is this article written by another Dork Sider with his opinion on the topic.
